Our ROM - 20.09.2009

Officially Mrs Teo now.

Yesterday we had a great day at Botanic Garden for our ROM. Thank God for good weather and passionate photographer, Andrew. Though the weather was slightly hot, family members stood the heat and witness our marriage. Our sweaty photographer gave constructive poses and places to take.

Saying "I Do" is a promise of this covenant that we made to each other. Staying faithful and loving each other do us part is what we have set for life. Holding his arms, wearing a gown makes me feel really like a bride.

Feeling a bit queer having to call his parents "pa" and "ma" but I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it. Think his parents so love me to call them that. haha

Thank God for the wondering memorial day that He had blessed us! We are starting a new chapter of our life....Mr and Mrs Teo! Yeah!

Our Wedding Preparation (Part1)

Praise God for our new home. We have finally found out "Seth". After we've decided on our new house, things starts to flow for us. We have decided on our ROM date and are preparing for our wedding.

ROM will be held at Botanic Garden on 20 Sept 2009. That will make it an memorable date cos it's 20.09.2009. We've decided to keep it a small family affair.

We have settled our bridal studio package yesterday. It's at "My Bridal Room". I kind of like the services and the gowns that are available so decided not to confuse ourselves further and signed it up. Glad that Steven was around to help me decide and give me clear directions. Last night, we discussed about our wedding dinner. I think sometimes I can't seem to think properly, so Steven is there to explain and help me think logistically. How can I do without him?

I have decided to take one step at a time when it comes to our wedding preparation. Settle one thing at a time. The next thing on our mind will be our wedding dinner venue.

We also went to see the wedding rings today. Kind of like the Soo Kee ring. It's quite nice and elegant. Not too fanciful. Didn't know a ring cost a bomb! But then again, if I get a ring I dun like, I doubt I will wear it so better get one which I'll wear. Haha...

There will be a lot of little details of the various wedding preparations that we have to settle but I know, we will be able to sort things out one at a time.

Thank God for His grace that we are able to communicate to each other what we want and require. I'm sure with Him guiding us along the way, our wedding preparation, will make us grow closer together and understand each other in a deeper way.

Thank you, Jesus for giving me such a wonderful boyfriend who is understanding and patient towards me!

Steven's Birthday

Today is Steven's birthday.

We went morning jog at Botanic Garden. He shared that jogging is a torture but he still do it cos it helps to tone up his body. As for me, I need to zap away the ugly cellulite. Haha

Lunch is served at Black Angus. Steven had his all time fav steak and mine was chicken teriyaki. Overall it's nice food and cosy seating. I am quite satisfied and glad that He likes his steak. Always wanted to let him eat his favorite steak. I didn't managed to get a gift for him...sigh...but at least I spent time with him.

We had dinner with his parents at Crystal Jade as the next day is his mum's birthday.

It was just a simple day for us but I think time is well-spent.

Recently, we have been quite busy with looking for a house of our own. After knowing that our desire flat is gone, I was quite disappointed. I'm glad that Steven reminded me of "Seth". When God takes away one thing, He will gives us another better one. Maybe we still have not found our "Seth", so we got to ernestly look for it. We are targeting to stay near his parents but praying hard that it will be affordable and meet our requirements. God, make a way for us, show us a miracle!

We have been sharing with each other our near future plans as well. It's good to share. I always believe that sharing is communicating. We have not firm things up, still need to consider first before deciding important dates. Meanwhile, we stay loving to each other and will always will....haha

Thanks you Jesus for bringing Steven into my life and make his days beautiful always!

Knowing Each Other

Thank God for a fruitful weekend together. I'm glad that Steven and myself make a point to share our thoughts with each other. It wasn't easy sometimes, but little effort does wonders.

Today, we shared some of our deepest thoughts with each other again. Sharing is helping to understand each other in a better way. It's good....it's truly God's grace.

Highlight of Our Cambodia Adventure (28 Feb to 5Mar '09)

Our real adventure starts with the thrilling helicopter ride. It's simply awesome! The sight of overseeing the city of Siem Reap and being with the one you love.

The next highlight is the wonderful waterfall that we ventured out to. It's such a blessing to be together with Steven, to explore new things together.

We end our adventure with a good Italian dinner.

Off we fly, back to Singapore! Thank you, Jesus for our Cambodia adventure.

My Valentine

This is my first valentine's day with my valentine. I know a lot of you won't believe but no choice, the truth stands....haha

An ordinary day but with an extraordinary companionship is something I long for. We went for our Southern Ridge walk, early in the morning. Starting point: HortPark. The weather is fine till it started drizzling when we were at the Henderson Wave, having our lunch half way. We did not let the weather spoil our mood. We continued our walk to Mount Faber.

Upon reaching Mount Faber, we took a break and sat in a cable car. It's nice to rest at a good view of the cable cars and the scenic surrounding. I think I enjoyed my rest there (It's the most memorable moment of the day cos we shared something nice with each other. Cannot reveal.)

After a good rest, we proceed to our destination Vivocity for lunch at Kim Gary. Steven didn't enjoy the lunch cos he doesn't like the food there. I'm ok with the food though.

We took a bus home. Quite a journey back home while both of us dozed off during the bus journey, trying to catch some rest. We ended the day with nothing spectuclar. Haha..

Present time!

I've got an epliator (more expensive version than Maureen's cos Steven scared that I won't use it if it's too painful). It's never a gift I longed for but for my darling, I have to use. After trying it, it wasn't that bad as I thought it would be. A bit painful initially but after awhile, it's alright.

On top of that, I've got a surprise gift of Nike jacket and shorts. Something that I like. That's good!

Steven got a new Levi jeans. Took me a while to wrap this gift. Wanted to be lazy and just placed in a gift box but since it's my first valentine celebration, I must make it special. You cannot believe that I wrap this gift 4 times! oh mine! But when I saw the smile on Steven's face when he opened his gift, it's all WORTH it! His smile sets my heart happy the whole day.

I slept extremely well that night, unconsciously smiling away in my dreams cos I've enjoyed my first Valentine's day and believe more lovely ones ahead of us!

Thank my darling for being a sweet boyfriend all these while and most importantly thank God for bringing us together, watching over us.

Year 2009 Resolution

1 of my main resolution for this year is to complete my double diploma in Business Administration and Private Secretary.

I wanted to go for a certified course since 2 years back when I started my secretary career. I'm finally doing it. Praise God for the partial subsidy from NTUC!

This course offically starts on 3 March. I'll miss my first lesson cos I'll be oversea then. Must play before I start serious work, u know....haha

I'm still a little afraid of what is ahead for me for this course, mainly because English has always been a subject I feared and now I have to face it once again. Thank God for an encouraging boyfriend who always urge me to be bold and face my fear. He offers to be my English teacher.( I hope he don't end up scolding me all the time cos this will only discourage me. )

Whatever it is, I only left with few more weeks to the real "battle" ahead. Wish me all the best, friends (Cos I don't believe in luck).

Another resolution is: A new house for both Steven and myself.
Been praying for a good deal from HDB for the April launch. Hope that we'll catch a good buy for a future that we are building. Just got to lift this up to God and let Him do the rest while we save up $$ for it.

That's all for my resolution!
